Join Our Giving Kitchen Pittsburgh (OGK) in our mission to fight food insecurity and make a measurable impact on neighbors in need. Through our corporate volunteer programs, your team will not only help prepare hundreds of restaurant-quality meals and cookies for food-insecure individuals — you’ll also build meaningful connections, boost morale, and reinforce your company’s commitment to social responsibility.

What to Expect

Our chef-led volunteering sessions are fun, fast-paced, and hands-on. When your team steps into our kitchen, you’ll:​

Prepare and package 150+ meals and 180+ homemade cookies

Learn new food

prep skills under expert guidance​

Bond with your colleagues in a meaningful service experience

See your labor turned into tangible help for neighbors

Duration: 1.5-hour session

Arrival, check-in, and orientation with an OGK session leader

Labeling and assembling meals

Chef-led instructions

Hands-on meal prep (chopping, rolling, coating, packaging)

All sessions are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, except Partnership packages, which reserve preset dates of your choosing.

Our Giving Kitchen

Our Giving Kitchen is a volunteer-powered nonprofit dedicated to ensuring food security. Acknowledging food as the most fundamental of human needs and that stark disparities in food access exist in our community, OGK rallies volunteers from diverse backgrounds to prepare hot, nutritious meals for those in need. OGK partners with a robust network of community organizations to ensure targeted delivery of hot meals to their communities. Our Giving Kitchen believes in the transformative power of giving and the ripple effect it can create. By offering engaging and meaningful volunteer opportunities, OGK not only serves those in immediate need but also instills a sense of purpose in its volunteers, encouraging them to perpetuate the cycle of giving.
